Armed Forces Day in aid of Help For Heroes

We will once again be holding our Armed Forces Day Fundraising event in aid of Help for Heroes on Saturday 29th June from 5 pm any donations of prizes for the raffle would be greatly appreciated. As usual we will be donating 10% of the days takings. Please come along and show your support

Our Armed Forces Day event was listed in the Daily Bulletin whats on page today and they will be attending on Saturday to report on the event

Thank you to everyone who supported our Armed Forces Day on Saturday. Including the 10% of our takings we have raised an amazing 800€.

But we have a plan!!.... If anyone has an apartment or villa they would like to offer the use of for a week or two we would like to try and give a wounded member of the armed forces and his/her family a holiday, with the money we raised paying for the flights. Also if anyone would like to offer their services for picking up & dropping off at the airport and any other offers to make their stay a memorable one Thanks

Holiday for a Hero

Just a quick update, spoke with Help for Heroes and they put me onto Band of Brothers & Band of Sisters who help service men & women and their families, just waiting for them to send us a questionaire. So far we have a kind offer from Chris & Deb ( El Boner) to do the airport transfers, Nofrills have kindly offered a day excursion to Palma. A few people have tentatively offered accommadation, what we need now is firm dates of availability for accommadation. Thanks everyone for your support xx

Please can I say a huge thank you to everyone who supports this fantastic charity. My daughter's partner was badly wounded in Afghanistan in 2010 and has received a huge amount of help from Help for Heroes. Thanks to the help he received from Headley Court he is now well on the mend and even managed to get fit enough to do a 2nd tour last year (you may have seen him on the BBC Remembrance Week series). Thanks to H4H and the Toe in the Water charity he has managed to get his Masters licence and is looking forward to doing some sailing when he joins us in PP in August. Thank you so much for your support people it really makes a huge difference
