What a fabulous write up! I think I have stayed in a few villas like that over the years too .... 23 as well! Have probably done most of the hairy drives too, albeit with my eyes closed on some of the bends - hubby driving I hasten to add!
It just reminds you that the memories made of the "rustic" kind are the ones that last and its not all about the modern "improvements" that make a place better.

Ah!!! what a nice read that is, i could almost picture myself there , especially as we were having a pretty hefty thunderstorm as i was reading it. Glad to say that has passed, the sun is back out and the Tramuntana Mountains are looking very green again .

Great article, sounds like some of the places we have stayed in, lovely, slightly over stressed the driving issue, if there are any first timers now panicking about the thought of having to drive, dont worry, its only if you go up in the mountains some of the roads are as they describes, 90% of the roads are fine.
