Beneficio Industrial

Has anyone ever come across something called Beneficio Industrial?

We have recently had some work done and the original quote had 15% added at the bottom for Beneficio Industrial which I foolishly took to be tax but I now find we have had IVA applied on top of this and so we are paying around 30% in some form off additional charge or other

It means industrial benefit, but have never heard of it or been charged it, is it too late to query

Hi folks
I can help here as it's a building term!!
Basically, Spanish law entitles a builder to apply this beneficio (benefit), which to cut a long story shor,t is actually the profit on the job. I laughed at this when I first heard of it. It is legal, but it should have noted on your quote that it said that this and IVA were not included? Did they not charge you around 7% gastos as well?? This is to cover wear and tear on tools and vans etc.
Normally it's only large companies that charge this, it can make a HUGE difference on a quote!!
