Almost the end of July so as they stand at the moment (not forgetting probably the busiest time to come for voting in August):

1st. Stay - 68 points.

3rd. El Posito - 28 points.
4th. Bellavista Pension - 26 points.
Joint 5th. Los Zarzales - 18 points.
Joint 5th. La Lonja - 18 points.

Please keep voting during July, August & September. Getting very interesting.

1. La Llonja
... excellent meals here this year where the food and service (attentive but unobtrusive) were second to none. The location is perfect for relaxing and enjoying a perfect meal....

3. Trio
This place is so underrated, but their menu of the day is such good value - where else can you get a 3 course meal for 2 including a botle of wine, water, bread and olives for 38 euros...

Couldn't agree more.

...We always come here on the first night of the holiday and are never disapponited...

So do we.

Based on our visit in July

1st Nautica Club
2nd La Llonja
3rd O Lume
4th Nostalgia
5th Can Josep

PP76

My wife and I have visited PP over a dozen times. IMO the top 5.
La Goleta, Great Service and fantastic food at a fair price, Martin and Elke are top hosts. Staff are very attentive.

Tangos. As above.
Tiberius in the square, faultless.
Brismarine oppsite the Marina. Great food and service.
Can Josep

My wife and I went to Pollensa from July 29th to August 4th 2011. We only ate at restaurants on 5 evenings, and in our opinion only 3 of them were worth points. Therefore we vote as follows:

1st O'Lume - This restaurant is fantastic and we wish we had eaten there on our first night rather than the last. We would certainly have gone back.
2nd Stay
3rd Codfather (If that is classed as a restuarant)

Well next time the scores are posted after this one I will have added my top 5. Can't wait to try all our usual places again & some new ones. Please keep posting your top 5 if not all ready done so. As it stands:

1st. Stay - 77 points

2nd. O'Lume - 60 points

3rd. El Posito - 28 points

4th. Bellavista Pension - 26 points

5th. La Lonja - 22 points

Just got back from a 3 week stay. We went out to eat at least once most days. However, most of our favourite meals were in the Pollensa area rather than in the port.

I therefore have only one nomination for best restaurant in PP. Is that allowed? If so then my vote goes to:

(1) Hostal Bahia - finest location possible (in my opinion).
Fabulous food, super service and the most wonderful views from the terrace.

Hannah, as long as they were in Puerto Pollensa you can vote for them, they don't have to be near the port. And if you only want to vote for one, fine.

We have a thread just for the Town Hannah try here

Visited for a 3 night stay in early July. visited stay, and imo the food was quite average. Last year (and previous years) it was up there with the very best michelin star restaurants in uk, that said it was great service, value and a very enjoyable night.

IRU, consistent excellent food, same staff every year (good sign) and seemed much more busy. I think they are catering more for Families (more bottles of tomato sauce, less bottles of Jaume Mesquida!!)

Finally i loved Cappacino, good wine, nice glasses, tasty food, comfy seats, good cocktails, the best night of our 3 short nights.

Stayed at the Bahia and diners looked very happy below our balcony, however that restaurant will have to wait.

So

Cappacino 5
IRU 4
Stay 1

Didn't even get to have a kebab from taj and a few beers on the beach this year, although THAT restaurant would get 5!!:)

Ok just back from 4 weeks of nutritional intake for the Cumberlands, after much deliberation we came to the following conclusion.
1. Siller restaurant is head & torso above the rest, the lad that hosts grows most of the grub on his farm ,er indoors cooks the finest quisine , in our opinion no contest.
2.La Llonja is fantastic ,it is 7 years since were here what a lovely surprise, food, service & setting,we even went twice.
3.El posito , how can you fault their MDD ?.
4.Citruss, read our previous report , again fantastic value for money.
5.Can Currassa, very beautiful setting, quality of Stay.

Another comestible provider which deserves a mention is Bella Vista, unfortunatley halfway through our meal their dog forced a log out next to er indoors feet, which put a, shall we say taint on the meal, as we did report it but it remained in place(probably still there now).
Bar Coral, a first for us, we went especially for leg of lamb as it was on a large blackboard as todays deal ,only to be told rather abruptly everybody who comes here knows you have to order in advance? then why doesnt it say that on the board? we waited 1 hour & 10 mins for our starter, the food (beef stew) was fine.

I have to make a public apology & a slight adjustment to my top 5, I forgot to insert Cellar La Parra & so Can Currassa should be substituted ( although it is still a fine restaurant). My wife takes this voting malarcky very seriously indeed & has threatened divorce unless the change is made, I know many of you were kept waiting a very long time for the Cumberlands Comestable 5 so again I apologise profusly for any confusion or undue stress i may have caused.

Very brave of you to go public, and therefore you are excused any stress we have suffered in having to work out the changes! (Although Can Currassa does remain firmly in my mind!)

Many thanks Bella i only hope the rest of the team can see their way clear to `forgiveness`as some would look upon an error within the `comestable 5`as unforgivable.

Hi, great report. However I have to say the 'log' story is one of the funniest things I have read for a long tme. Although personally I would have had a fit if it had happened to me!

Best Restaurants 2011

1. Restaurante Siller
2. La Llonja
3. Laroc
4. Cellar La Parra
5. Naciente

The meals I have enjoyed at the above listed restaurants cannot be faulted. All have provided fantastic food of wonderful quality.

OMG still laughing at the 'log' story.

Though don't think I would if it happened to me.

Cheers
Pops

I am not sure if my votes can count because we didn't eat out much in the evening as we were half-board at our hotel. We only ate at 4 different places in PP so I have had to include our hotel - the Puerto Azul Aparthotel - in 5th place. So feel free to ignore it as you can only eat at the Puerto Azul if you are staying there. Also one of our top 5 is actually a cafe, hope this is OK.

But anyway, here are the results from the Butler Jury:

1. El Posito
2. Stay
3. Dolç Sa Pobla
4. La Balada Del Agua Del Mar
5. Puerto Azul

Simon of course your vote counts, thank you for taking the time to do it.
Can i just add that you don't have to vote for 5, it doesn't matter as long as it's not more than 5 and they are all in PP. Also don't forget we have a separate thread for your favourite 5 restaurants in Pollensa Town. :D
