Hi Peter
The Cultural bar in the square is great value for a lunchtime baguette. 3 of us went in there to watch the Hungarian Grand Prix & we had 3 freshly made baguettes, a bottle of Conde de Caralt white wine, 3 coffes & brandies for an unbelievable €23!!
We were made very welcome, they switched the tv channel to Spanish from Catalan, (we cheered quietly for Hamilton & louder for Alonso) and had a thoroughly enyable afternoon.
Neptuno is good value for most meals, the mussels are good & the range of tapas is brilliant. You can pay whatever you choose to - from €10 - €30 each depending on your taste.
I know there have been mixed reviews but I also enjoyed the tapas at the Beef & Tapas Bar & I think their house rose is Faustino. Probably around €40 for 2.
Manducca (next to the Codfather), has a very varied menu with pizzas & kebab meals around €9 -€12 per main course. But as has been posted before the front of house guy needs to go to catering college & learn some customer skills, avoid him & the rest of the staff are really good.
