Bike Hire

Hired 2 bikes from 2GoCycling, had a puncture on a back wheel, so had to wat till it reopened to have it rpaired, new inner tube fitted, but no tyre check, halfway to Alcudia, same bike same tyre punctured. Coincidence?? Id doubt it. I had to remove the wheel, and leave my friend, and cycle back with the wheel for another repair, same problem, pinhole slow puncture. On returning the bikes we were told we would have to pay another 5 euros for the repair. Yet this was not mentioned when it was repaired. On top of taht, having to pay an extra 2 euros each for helmets, and finding out we could have hired the same bikes at 2 other outlets cheaper, I certainly wont reccomend it or return. Id ask the question why arentthe tubes slimed?? It would save hassle for hirers and shop alike. Nor were we offered a repair kit. We complained that we didnt think we should pay for the repair as we hald lost use of the bike for most of the day, the blonde assistant just laughed in our faces. Great srvice??? No.

Hi there. We've just returned from PP and hired a bike (on 3 separate days)through Pro Cycles (recommended to us via a friend who has used them many times). Fortunately we did not have any punctures, but I would say service received was excellent and each bike was in excellent condition. We would definately use them again next time.

I've hired bikes from Pro Cycling for years and always had good service.

Some friends of mine have used pollensacycling.com a couple of times and have given very favourable reports.

Must agree with some of the others re. ProCycle Hire. Have been hiring out bikes from them since they first started 7/8 years ago. Run by an English couple, if you're a serious cyclist this is the place to go. Bruce and his team know their stuff, and all the bikes are in excellent condition. For the last 3 years have hired out top of the range all carbon road bikes - this is my holiday treat! Have just returned a few days ago from holiday, and whilst there, noticed that another hire shop has opened for hiring out road/race bikes (in PP), but they certainly didn't have the choice that ProCycle have. Check out Cycle Hire in Mallorca . You can view the range of bikes available and the hire rates. You can book in advance, but I've never done this.
