That all makes sense. I honestly thought they would all be 'ringed' to follow them in future but I can understand why that isn't the case. They are all looking a bit bedraggled this morning!

Thank you for emailing them...

You're very welcome.

Yes, they looked very wet and miserable there are short time ago.
They has some food in the nest a short while ago, so the mood seems to have improved a little ;)
Still looking very wet though.

Is there not a long ladder with " rungs " on it. If nest had been up a tree could have made a " trunk " call.
Sorry.

Just looking at the webcam and on of the 'chicks' is testing his/her wings while the other two are asleep:)

Thanks for the tip off, Rosie. Amazing sights! One of the chicks is certainly give it a 'good go'! How it doesn't fall off the edge I've no idea - my heart is in my mouth, I can hardly watch!

Just checked in on the storks. One of them is either completely zonked out or not very well. It’s not moving at all!!!

They seem to be testing their wings at times now so maybe won't be long before they take off:)

Ha Ha - I've just been watching the storks and one of them suddenly took off in full flight. The expressions on the other two's faces were priceless - like 'what is he doing' - totally shocked!! When he came back on of the others had a good old flap of the wings and a little jump but chickened out of actually leaving the next:D:D:D

Aww I missed the take off but I'm watching one having a good old flap now. He just can't seem to pluck up the courage to take the plunge 💕

I've just been watching the Hoechstadt camera and one of those was walking slowly backwards until he was teetering on the edge, looking like he was about to fall....but he just did a big poo  :D

And just now a rare sight of all 5 of them in the nest.
Flight lessons for the youngster?
It's busier than Heathrow now in that nest ;)

I always got the impression, that one of the young ones was more advanced than the other two.

Bit like a pre-Covid 19 Heathrow airport at the moment - frequent take offs and landings by all!!
