Just looked and caught it at the right time. Definitely 3 wee heads bobbing about and 3 eggs intact!
At least they are all well. I really had my doubts after yesterday. They seem a good pairing sharing the load but I was just shocked at the dad's behaviour yesterday!
Now need to have a peek at the other nests....

Just waiting for my flight back from PP and managed to see feeding time! I hope the other eggs hatch soon as it’s horrible watching the tiny ones trying to compete with their older siblings

Feeding time in Roettenbach and it looked like 5 chicks to me, before they were covered up again by mum/dad. Two larger ones, two a bit smaller and one that's quite tiny.

I can see four now at Hochstadt, one to go...

Rottenbach.....all 6 hatched....1 is tiny compared to the others. Let's hope it can cope!
Heroldsbach.....3 hatched, 2 to go.
Hochstadt.....I watched for ages but the parent didn't move...very chilled! They must all have hatched by now.

Difficult to say, as they're all cuddled up close, but I can only make out 4 chicks this morning in Roettenbach, with 3 larger ones and one a bit smaller.

Just counted 5 but one looks very small compared to the others

I had a look yesterday and there was a wee one struggling to free itself from the centre of the others. I was hoping the other one would be under the guddle!
Anytime I've looked at other cams, they are all cosy so can't do a head count.

I noticed some quite brutal pecking of the smaller chicks by the bigger ones late pm yesterday :(

Just looked and there’s 5 chicks ….one small one left but the other small one’s gone.

Lunchtime feed and I did spot the 5th chick. He sure is tiny compared to the others.

Supper time and the little one is going for it! Keeping low tucked under the bigger ones and getting all the scraps. Good strategy!

Little number 5 still hanging in there with the undercover strategy.

2.31 pm…. One of the chicks has made a bid for freedom!

‘DON’T GO NEAR THE EDGE’ screeches mum!!!!!!:eek::eek:

My goodness....watching at 4pm and the same occurring! Two of them are definitely a bit inquisitive. Good to see the tiny one still hanging in there. I'm amazed every year how quickly they change. The chicks in the other nests are noticeably smaller even though only a few days difference.
