Just had to have something booked for next year so picked September . Making an assumption that we will all be vaccinated by then.

Started me thinking what about vaccinations in Majorca ? Is it safe to assume that most people on the Island will be ok by then?

We are provisionally booked for a week in July but may not travel then just in case .

What do others think .

We are due to go to P.P in june/july of next year, and hoping that we'll get there, but who knows , I am becoming doubtful that it will happen. Fingers crossed.

Same here - we've booked for June and October but not counting on it yet but needed something to look forward to:)

That’s a really interesting question. It looks, perhaps, that vaccinations are likely to roll out very soon in the U.K. and I’m “lucky” enough to be in an age band that might see a vaccination in the early part of the year. I really hope that the residents of Mallorca can benefit from the reassurance of an effective vaccination programme as soon as possible.

I’m with you and think the chances of things being being back to ‘normal’ are doubtful. Every time lock down is lifted some, selfish, people start acting as if there isn’t a pandemic, which then means we all have to go back into lockdown or a higher tier. Then there’s the Christmas free for all and goodness knows what the effects of that will be!

We could have been so close to nailing Covid with the vaccine just around around the corner ...doubt now that we will.

Can we not find an uninhabited island somewhere to send all the antivaccers with perhaps one highly infectious volunteer and leave them to their devices!!

Absolutely with you there. I like the idea of vaccination passports......no vaccination, no entry to cinemas, restaurants, sports events, airports etc. In my opinion, anyone who refuses a vaccination on anything other than legitimate medical grounds is behaving anti socially and with complete contempt for their fellow citizens, rather like the idiots who don’t socially distance or wear masks. Hang in a minute......maybe they’ll turn out to be the same people!

Smallpox and polio weren’t eradicated by refusing vaccines, but by mass vaccination programs. Maybe in the 50s and 60s people had greater civic responsibility?

Vaccine passports

Might well be the way to go . Sky news has a poll on this right now.
