Brisa Marina - sad news

I was very sorry to discover that Brisa Marina, a regular favourite of ours for over 20 years, has changed hands. The new owners are Mystic, a group that owns other restaurants in north Mallorca. The restaurant looks exactly the same but there’s a new disappointing menu, with most seafood at “market price”, and a huge increase in cost. Rumour has it that Francisco has retired and when we called in today only one of the staff remained.

This used to be a very popular place frequented by the locals, but it all seems overpriced and has nothing like the good value and diverse menu that it did before. I’m sorry to say that I’ll be giving it a miss!

It's the same with Aries bar. New owners. Food and drinks prices hiked. All the locals and labourers gone!

We went to Brisa Marina this week, 3rd Sept, not knowing it had changed ownership. It felt different when we were sat down and not many customers in either. Luckily we just ordered some water to begin with and then took one look at the menu told the waiter we were hoping to order sea bream which wasn’t on there so paid for the water and left! Few steps latter into Los Faroles and we had a great meal. Shame we are loosing some of the classic restaurants in the port. Our all time favourite is Na Ruxia which never fails to impress.

Advice I can assure you already followed! Have been to the “new” Brisa a couple of times but have ru. Out of things on the menu that appeal. Staff are very nice, menu less so!
