I recommend the paella - excellent!
:-)

What you can't see from the pictures is that the glass atrium is in the open air with no roof so it forms a small courtyard, and all the glass panels open up. At the back of the atrium is a waterfall.

Just looked at the photos and it looks so very swish - guess we will have to book to get a table now:D

Am so getting into holiday mood trying all the food tapas route sitting on the balcony this is one place we will def try

Go for it pips, I can recommend the " Gambitas de salteadas".. ( starter ) The flavour is to die for. One plate between 2 is more than enough. Also ask if you want something that's not on the menu. More often than not they will do it for you. They should pay me some commission with all this promotion I'm doing for them :)

Sorry, but I don't get it. Grossly over rated. The owner has less charm than my mother in law. Save my money for stay or las zarzoles. Happy to debate :D

Interesting Bracken! I'm trying to keep an open mind as we've had a couple of lovely dinners there in the past - NOT in the past two years though.

We haven't really wished to return since our sorry tale of summer 2011. We were so looking forward to a gorgeous, lazy and leisurely Sunday afternoon of food and wine. We were seated quickly and given menus and bread/olives. And that summed it up...

It WAS pretty busy with locals and tourists, and we did sit back patiently to enjoy the buzz and were very happy to go with the flow and just wait. And wait we did. Almost half an hour passed with any attempt to catch the attention of the staff or owner/manager greeted with a glance and instant dismissal. Maybe we were too polite, and should have waved wildly, clicked our fingers or something, but to our minds we were CLEARLY keen to order wine and food with our smiling, hungry faces beaming hopefully at any member of staff that glided by. We did get what we hoped was an acknowledgement of our plight in the form of a moment's eye contact and a raised eyebrow but that came to nothing... After well over half an hour of being ignored completely we just got up and left. We could see no reason for their rudenss, and actually felt quite embarrassed by their treatment of us; we haven't returned since... I should emphasize that we could in no way be seen as 'chavvy' or 'common' or whatever they may have turned their noses up at - just a 30-stg year old teacher and my 70-stg year old mum!

I'm quite apprehensive at prospect of going there again in the future, that incident left a very sour taste in my mouth (and a hungry gurgle in our tummies!). :( :o

I have read the previous few posts with surprise. We have visited brisa Marina for many years and love it we have always received a warm welcome and good service. The restaurant can frequently become very busy and usually only has 2 waiting staff who are run off their feet. At these times the service can be quite slow but the ambience and good food make up for this only my opinion. We have just returned from a short break in the port and the long lunch we had in brisa one afternoon was the best meal of the holiday that includes beating Stay one evening. The menu has changed slightly recently. I had salmon and hubby had pigs cheeks in red wine followed by stewed apple this dessert is mallorcan style with cinnamon and spices with ice-cream it was delicious plus 2 bottles of wine total bill 54 euro great value.
It is interesting the different views people have on restaurants but it remains one of our favourites and we have never had a bad experience there it is looking lovely after the recent refurb and is frequented a lot by the locals.:)

These recent comments just prove that one bad experience in a restaurant is probably enough to make you think twice about going back, no matter what the majority of people say. Once bitten, twice shy definitely comes to mind:)

That's exactly the type of experience you can have here at home in the UK.
In such cases it can be many 'years' before you return somewhere, purely because of one bad experience. In present times there is no place for bad service. An acknowledgement that you are there, a quick word saying service will be in a short while and maybe an 'amuse bouche' (along with your ordered drink) to keep you going, is all that is needed - and is a polite way to deal with the situation when a restaurant is busy.

Having only eaten here once before and remembered an ok experience but nothing that attracted us back we decided to go last night

6 of us all had the excellent value MDD and it was very very good

Decor is also very attractive

All in all a great addition to PP
