REVIEW: Ca'n Josep - The Best Restaurant in PP

I'm pleased to hear that, as our visit beforehand wasnt too "fantastico" either, so I am certainly encouraged to try there again if you consider it has improved a bit. Would still like cushions on inside chairs though!

Ah! I liked the little guy too. He told us he was thinking about changing the name of the restaurant to 'Fantastic' The poor thing has to listen to that all day and all night!

I wish I took a photo of my chocolate brownie now. It was like nothing else I'd eaten. Ooh! Another thing I forgot to mention was, the evening we were there we sat outside and as soon as it got dark, if you look across you can see restaurant La Victoria all lit up.

Hello everyone!

Been coming to PP for 16 years (with a 6 year gap) and still love it. Have been reading this for a few years and finally decided to join so here goes (be nice to me I'm a learner!).
We were lucky enough to stay in a flat v close to Can Josep last year (just over it actually) and could hear the wonderful guitarist. We also ate there twice and had 2 fantastic meals. The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. Have booked up same place for August (sadly am stuck with school holidays as I work in a school) and can't wait. Am sitting in a very wet Cornwall and looking forward to some sunshine!

Thanks Smiddy - will try to remember to keep my receipts for restaurant reviews. We always have lovely meals there but can never remember what we've eaten - must be the sun (or the rioja!)

Welcome Meerkat. I'm always amazed at how detailed everyones recollection of meals out are, I tend to forget as soon as I leave if I don't keep repeating it all until I can scribble it down somewhere! So I always appreciate reading other peoples time taken write ups. Go for it!
