Strange, we have used Auto Estarellas many times over the years and always had good service, new car and no problems. Last time we used them was last July.

After reading all the reports about car hire we have booked with Terry,s car hire, sounds OK. Going on the 12th of June so will report back as soon as we get home

As I've said before we have used Auto's Estrallas many times and they have always been great - car quality, service, price etc. We have probably used them 4/5 times a year for the last 10 years or so without a hitch. We also have many friends who use them without a problem. I'd say this is far more than "luck of the draw"

According to an article in today's on-line version of the Bulletin (http://www.majorcadailybulletin.es/) it seems likely that there car hire prices will stay quite high for 2010. You might get a newer model though ...

THE Balearic car hire sector itself yesterday ruled out any great offers this year after revealing that the association’s members have not increased the size of their fleets since making cuts of 30 percent last year.
Consumer watchdog bodies in both the UK and Germany have been closely monitoring the holiday car rental situation in Europe’s top destinations this year and Majorca has emerged as one of the most expensive locations to rent a vehicle this summer.
Last year, the number of rental vehicles in the Balearics was cut by 30 percent from 50'000 to 35'000 and there is going to be no increase this year.
However, the President of the Balearic Association of Rental Vehicles, Ramon Reus, said yesterday that over the past six months, some 10'000 vehicles have been exchanged for newer models with the manufacturers in preparation for the coming summer season.
