On previous holidays we have had a car with the villa but this time were staying in an apartment and I will have to get car hire myself does anybody no any good car companys I can check out.

You are best looking at some of the previous posts under car hire. Everyone has their own opinions on this one. Prices have seen record highs all of this year due to short supply.
We normally book direct with Recordgo. They are usually quite cheap, have quite comprehensive insurance included (this can add 120 euros a week with Avis/Hertz etc) cars are often quite tatty, not well cleaned but don't show any 'car park' scratches so fine by me? (Occassionally you get a car in GOOD condition)
You could also try DoYouSpain. I've just book one through them for next May. Price is OK but you don't know if the Hire firm is on or off site until after you book.

... just bear in mind, if it is offsite, u cant just walk away. If there is a problem,by the time u realise it, ur not at the airport.

I have been out 4 times this year, and on or offsite, each has been a problem.
