Anybody know if there might be a way to get
a firm idea? Maybe the people who issue the
passes might be able to help? Or is there some
Mallorcan hikers group who could be contacted?

Have you tried Richard Strutt at Mallorca Walking Tours? I see from his website that he is due to do the walk in question on 27 April.

just back from the Castell today ,excellent walk ,and weather.The actual walk up to the castell from the third bridge is off limits without a special nature consevation permit.This is NOT the same permit that you need to get through the gate .
There were several Black Vultures riding the thermals .

Can anyone give me the link for the permit application form?

The one I used last year doesn't seem to work any more!

Or have things changed?

I thought the Ajuntament website used to have the facility to download a form but can't find it now. You could try contacting the Tourist Information Office, details here :- Tourist Information - Pollensa - Mallorca Majorca.

They are not open today though.

Yes thanks - contacted the Tourist Office as you suggested and they sent me the correct link - it's still there, just moved slightly within the Ajuntament website!

We did the walk on Sunday. Fantastic walk and I think we were the only people doing it that day.

Unfortunately the track to the beach was closed. Only found out half way down the path to the beach when we hit the prohibited sign, although I think that was partly due our lack of understanding of Spanish as the guy at the gate may have tried to explain this! Has the beach been closed for a while?
