Centauro

Hi everyone,
I have just booked a Fiesta diesel with Centauro through Holidaycars Direct for July/August,18 days for £330 - not a bad price I thought.

Has any body had any experience of Centauro good or bad??

P.S. Asked for hire company based on site at the airport and was told by the agents that Centauro did-checked on the voucher after I had paid in full and seems that I am to be bussed to their compound off site- a bit naughty I think, I wouldn't have booked with them if I had known.

Hi stev1em. We've used Centauro many times in the past. Excellent service and really well looked after and new cars for us. However, they moved off site at the beginning of last year and I prefer to used a company based out of the main car park so haven't used Centauro since. That said, their minibus shuttle leaves from just outside the departures door and is frequent. About every 10mins in the busy period. Their base is only just 'off-site' and really just on the edge of the taxiway. It takes less than 10 mins in the minibus. The one advantage is that you are not faced with driving out of the sometimes chaotic car park alongside hundreds of others. In my opinion they are fine, just not quite as convenient!
