I have already reported on the change of ownership at No 31 and Marina Brasserie but there are more at Casa Manolo and also Maxim's Snack Bar.

Maxim's Snack Bar will probably have a name change when it opens and is going to be run by one of the waiters from Bar Bony ;).

I saw people looking at Guru the other day. Watch this space.

My neighbour was chatting to the guys working at Guru and apparently they are from Swing Restaurant in Llenaire.

That would be great. Llenare is always a little too far out for me.

Shame GG you are misssing out on two of PP's best restaurants in Swing and especially Siurell. The restaurant in the Hotel Galeon is also good. Stretch your legs and enjoy :)

Please do not tell everyone as I will never be able to get a table!!!!

During the summer I go to Swing at least once a week to sit with a glass of vino or two and enjoy the vistas. Their olives are the best in the port!

As I live here I tend not to eat out much and when I do it is the cheaper places.

I love Siurell for tapas when my kids visit.

Vogue in C/Tramuntana between Rincon de Mami and Es Reco is now a Turkish Kebab bar :).

A quick look on google maps suggests Vogue and Rincon de mami used to be the one bar called Xarau? Is that right Sparky? Wasn't there a bit of a stooshie about Xarau and late night practices?

Vogue was known as Xarau, Rincon de Mami is next door and not connected in any way.

Vogue/Xarou has a bad reputation for late night noise but Rincon de Mami usually closes earlier.

The new bar was open at 11.30pm but all was quiet when i looked up on my way home so hopefully things will be better.

We lived in PP for a couple of years in Llenaire and Swing, which was then Bar Llenaire back then was fab. A cold bottle of white, bread, olives, alioli and that view. Awesome

A slight change here, it isn't a Bony waiter who will be running this but it's his wife and sister. It is going to be a tapas bar and will open in a couple of weeks ;).

Yes we met Caterina (?) who used to be a waitress at Bony's but not for the last couple of years (2 small children with her!) and she said her and her sister-in-law were opening it up.
They have been working really hard to get it ready with Matius (from Joker Bar) and Maru helping out with the work. Matius also said he was not returning to Joker bar this season.
It was lovely to see her again and she is very excited to be opening.
Can't wait to try it at Easter.

I heard a rumour a while ago that the Australian bar was being sold, as you know i don't listen too much to gossip but the bar is being revamped and the Fosters signs have gone, so watch this space ;).

When we were out last September we noticed that this bar was shut and appeared to be run down from previous visits. We always thought that it was associated with the bar opposite as the staff appeared to work at both.

Yes Miller, they are both part of the Boulevard group (Dakota) ;).
