Anyone know where the Kebab bar is? Does it do food? What is it like?

Adios

Dave

I've heard they do a mean doner Dave and Watneys, what more could a man wish for :)

mmmmm nothing at all against Bony's but I can't imagine it would get anywhere near most people's top 10 reasons to return to PP

Sorry cd, but i can think of plenty of peeps who would put Bony's in their top 5!
Come on, its got a perfect location overlooking the square (i know bar cultural does, but its a bit too quiet down that end of the square for me ), ALL the kids, including my 2 teenages, LOVE it! and its got prob the best host in the port!! What else could you ask for? I know its a bit expensive (tho i always get a couple of free drinks while i'm there :D ) but hey! your on holiday!!!

But, back to the question. Sorry ray, but if a classy night youre looking for, then its got to be at Stay! But each to their own m8.

Jiggy .................. my point wasn't that Bony's wasn't a good bar but that I couldn't imagine a bar being somewhere that would make a difference to your hols enough for it being a reason to come back to PP ...... I couldn't identify with the family all sitting round wondering where to go on hols and someone saying ..... lets go to PP because theres a really good Bar there.

There again we don't really go into Bars in PP or wherever we go on Holiday .............. we have a drink on the balcony before we go out to dinner, have a drink with our dinner and then stop at the Sis Pins or Bahia to just have a nightcap and watch the people strolling by on our way home

So I guess Bars are not on MY top 10 because they don't make much difference to my holiday ...... I don't think my hol would feek any different if I never went into one...... but thinking about it a bit more since my first post, I suppose if visiting a bar is something that is an integral part of your holiday enjoyment, then somewhere like Bony's would have a real "come back" appeal

I state again , I have no issue with Bony's and I do think he's a great character ... it was the statement that Bony's was one of the reasons people returned to PP that I wasn't sure about ................. but as said above those who spend more time in the bars are probably the best judge of that.

What with the Bony's thing and the business of me not really understanding what a Sports Bar is ( see other posts ) I guess I need to realise that "bars" are not one of my core competencies :)

I'll stick to posting about food

:D@cd. Brill post Cd, you can post about anything you like! :D
So... lets just clear that up. Do you like bars , or not ;)

Bonys - Ok for a drink by the square, people watching, great location, good atmosphere and friendly service.

JKs - cheaper, typical british bar, pool, darts, football, etc. Nice staff best english breakfast in PP. Downside is no air can, and your sat inside !

If you want kebabs why are you coming to PP?

Hi BigErn, JK's do have aircon, there are 2 units as well as 2 very large fans.:)

Sparky,

Only 2 very large fans? any games i've watched the place is full of them:)

Hi Guy's,

Have to say it's JK's everytime for me...

1: Cheap drinks - Pint 3euros, glass of Wine 2euros, Gin & Tonic 4.5euros - I am told there has been no price increase since they opened.
2: Free Wi-Fi, first had problems setting my computer up, but the guy behind the bar was more than helpful.
3: Great friendly staff.
4: Good food, at good prices, and the kitchen is open all day.

Although they are classed as a "Sports Bar", I have been there when there has been some great functions on, New Year's Eve, San Antoni, and the odd local company having their end of season staff party, just to name a few.

Going back to the "Sports Bar" theme, JK's will be probably the number one place to be for the World Cup this year, with a great atmosphere every game (Not just the England games)...

Sorry Waterboy I disagree Cuba is the place to be away from the TV unless a BIG UNLESS
England make it to the final.
