Nearly there now...
So this time tomorrow we will have landed...
I got through my exams. Six hours of them on one of the days and it was 32 degrees in London. I want that weather in Pollensa not for sitting exams. The forecast for the next ten days looks amazing. Thanks for the good wishes. I found out on Wednesday. I'm so relieved. I am a medical student at University College London. If I had failed I would have had to repeat the year and I was worried because I'd taken my eye off the ball having been busy separating and moving house. Now I'm in my last year of five and this time next year I will be a doctor once I've got through Finals.
I'm so happy and it's really set me up for the holiday. Unfortunately I'm nervous as hell again. Not about the place, you've all done a great job reassuring me. Just going through the journey as the only responsible adult and having to be in charge of all that for the first time. Crazy as I used to go all over the world when I worked and I didn't bat an eyelid turning up in strange non-European cities at night, dumping my stuff and exploring. This is only a holiday after all.
Ah well, I am sure it will be wonderful and it is what we all need after an awful year. Looking forward so much to blue sea, blue skies, beach, lovely food, historic villages, snorkelling...
I will report back after we get home if I don't make it to the forum meet up.
