Is Corpus Christi in Pollensa on 13th June?
If so is it a procession or such like, and any special celebtrations ?

Not sure of dates this year but they do have a procession ,the dance of the Eagles, which is good to watch.

If I have calculated the dates correctly, 60 days after easter, this would make the date this sunday, can anyone confirm

Yes have just seen in the new Holiday in Pollensa book that is the nearest Sunday to June 7th so agree it should be this Sunday. Procession is usually in the evening about 7pm I think.

As part of the Corpus Christi, The Sant Joan Pelós Aguiles and perpetuate the tradition of dancing figures.

Few are chosen to represent a party as deeply rooted as far in time as the Aguiles and Sant Joan de Pollença Pelós this was obvious in their faces. Satisfaction, pride, responsibility and of course, nerves. This came in the procession of Corpus Pollensa yesterday afternoon.
The dance of the Aguiles, like other figures dancing still is a very clear, in Pollença, although it already has documented the dance in the sixteenth century. In fact it is the only municipality of the island that keeps this "fossil".
This year all dressed endomassat of jewelry donated by families of Pollença for the occasion has gone to the two young Beatriz Luis and Mavi Bauçà. Alongside them dance a young, barefoot and with mask, representing Sant Joan Pelós, carrying with it a little lamb alive.

Eagles get ready for the Corpus
The twins Joana Aina and Antonia Perez will be with the young female protagonists Cristōfol Llompart, who will act as Sant Joan Pelós morning to celebrate the centennial tradition through the streets of the town

Serra Magdalena Pollença tomorrow afternoon live one of the most important cultural events of the village near the feast of the patron saint, Sant Antoni de l'Estendard procession. This is the feast of Corpus Christi, one of the oldest religious manifestations that remain on the island, and which are the Eagles players and Sant Joan Pelós, who dance and go in procession through the main streets of town.
A Although the celebrations last only an afternoon, hiding behind many hours of hard work and dedication. An example of this was the dress rehearsal that took place Thursday night and where you could see how they develop the stars of this year, which are the twin Joana Aina and Antonia Perez Mariano, who represent the eagles , and the young Cristōfol Llompart, to be Sant Joan Pelós.
The three danced under the watchful eyes of family and friends and clothed by the three women for years with love and care organized the celebration: Maria Vives, Magdalena Aina Vilanova and Encrypt .
"It's a dream come true, from small both wanted to become eagles and get it is a pride and satisfaction," said a nervous and excited Aina Joana Perez. Usually choose by lot to the girls who will be the Eagles, but there is the exception that if there are two twin sisters who no longer want to be the draw and both go directly to represent them.
Nevertheless, the organization has decided to remove this exception next year before the twin births increased in recent years and thus allow a more level playing field among the youth of the town.

Four kilos of weight
One of the items that catch our attention is the colorful procession carrying eagles costumes and reproduces in part the shape of birds. Each is dressed in white and waist placing a cardboard frame adorned with colorful ribbons and is adorned with numerous jewels and gold. Such is the carrying amount of jewelry estimated that each of the girls look up to four kilos gold top. Indeed, the presence of jewelry in your wardrobe girls is one of the factors that demonstrate the strong linkage of the residents of Pollença with the festival, because all of them have been borrowed by families in the municipality.
The week before the celebration , a group of women of Pollença sews handmade jewelry on eagles costumes, each with a thread of a different color to know what family it belongs to each.
To prevent theft of parts and the consequent displeasure their owners, are guarded at all times by the bank Caixa pollencina Colonya. In fact, the pieces are sewn in the same entity and at the dress rehearsal, which took place on Thursday to prepare the morning procession, the girls danced without them.
