Went to Duxou the other night, behind Eroksi SYP on the main road between the Port and Pollensa. They have made a great transformation of the building, inside and out, although they still need to fill the pool with water, and landscape the entrance car park area.

Anyway, the food and drink is very affordable and of very good quality, apparently sourced locally and organically. We had a couple of gripes with the presentation of the food, but its early days, and for the price its hard to complain.

Will definitely return and hopefully sit outside this time to enjoy the weather with a good BBQ'd steak and beer!

Duxou

The Fat Cats Jazz band will be playing at Duxou this Sunday 3rd July 2011 from 2pm till 5pm.
Sounds like a lovely way to combine a tasty brunch with some light jazz on the way back from Pollensa market. :)

I had no idea it was open again. Anyone know who it is that is running it?
What sort of menu have they got? I used to love the venue years ago in the early days when Balaixa ran it before they started having problems... the pool, the garden, relaxing and wonderful. Good luck to anyone trying to make a go of it. Difficult location so they will have to be offering something different or exceptional.

And before it was the Balaixa, it was the Garroverer (spelling?) and it was (IMO) better - it had a lovely cosy bar area with proper soft seats etc - the food was excellent, especially the peppered steak which was always my 'last night' meal:)

wwhere did they get the name (and the signage) driving past on the main road, I thought it was an industrial unit, they need to do a bit of advertising
