easyJet have cancelled some winter flights
I only found out when clearing out my spam folder and spotted an email that claimed to be from easyJet.
The email is not from an easyjet.com domain name which is why it gets spam trapped, email is from an @rnmk.com email address
so was not on my safe senders list so got flagged as spam.
Looks just like a phishing email and there is a mistake in the html code in the body of the email.... ( an extra </span> command )
But it is real as I logged into easyjet to check.
Sure enough the weekday flight we had booked for February from Liverpool had been cancelled.
Return flight is OK, but that's no use without a suitable outgoing flight...
The conditions on the amend flight page said flights must be changed within 14 days of notification, if I had not found the email I would never have known...
The easyjet website had errors where it would not me change both flights, even though the site said it was allowed....but came up with errors... aaaaghhhhhh!!
Is all sorted now I have changed outgoing and return flights for free
( just wasted lots of time)
A bit of hassle but at least it is done.
Just shows how bad the recession is effecting bookings.
So if you have winter flights booked with easyJet, check your emails and log into easyJet and view the bookings occasionally.
I think its ridiculous that easyJet send important cancellation emails with only a 14 day response time from a 3rd party email address that will get flagged as spam !!
Everyone that uses easyJet will have @easyjet.com in their safe senders list, not @rnmk.com !!
While googling to find out about cancellations I found this useful site
Airline News from Flightmapping
lots of reductions in flights numbers by the looks of it.
