Unfortunately, most of us want to take some luggage (not just hand luggage) when we go away, especially if it's for 2 weeks (or less for me) Airlines know that and their prices are just going to go up and up, but what's the alternative

I see that EJ s chief executive has just received 6.3 million in wages with her second in command getting over 2. Something .
Surely no one person deserves that money? They could reduce their flights cost with that money.

Agree 100%, To show how much they are taking the you know what. Around January 2012 their share price was around £3.60. Today its knocking on the door of £15

Not as low a price as I was hoping for, about the same as Monarch from East Midlands that released ages ago, hardly a surprise as I guess they have been watching what other airlines prices are which is normal I suppose...They do have those shareholders to pay....

After being very determined back in October that I would wait until last minute before booking flights again......what have I done Just booked flights from Liverpool for October Certainly not as cheap as I had hoped but a lot cheaper than Newcastle/Glasgow/Edinburgh Flights from Scotland have rubbish times so that put me off as well Oh well looks like another long drive south

Well the events of the last 2 days back up all I said earlier. Just a few hours before they released those flights they were still telling people that they had no idea when the next set of dates would be released. Really !!!. That is an insult to peoples intelligence.

Very annoyed ! Almost booked Ryanair but waited for Easyjet Very expensive looked again at Ryanair and only a very early morning flight available now which would mean overnight stay at airport Hotel !!! last time I wiat for Easyjet If Ryanair have improved I shall be going back to them !

Yes I totally agree with you Copper and now wish I had booked with Jet2 instead of waiting. We may then, at least, have managed to get flights from Newcastle at a decent price. I don't think EJ have done themselves any favours this time by the long delay and now the exorbitant prices. It makes you wonder what the prices will be like as time goes on It certainly looks as if the days of the cheap flights if you book early have long gone

Hi Copper, Because they can make a hell of a lot more money. I know of 2 families that have to have set dates so they book the out bound trip at the start of September when it is released for fear of not getting the date and then they book the return when it is released. The result means an extra £40 per couple by booking it as 2 separate flights.
1 hour before they released the dates for the rest of September they were still telling people on face book that they had no idea when the flights would be released. That is an insult to your intelligence .

Just booked

Just booked for June but my God not cheap. It seems that no matter when you go the days of cheap flights are over.

But no matter it's done and I can look forward to our PP visit next year.

yes we totally agree with flight prices from PIK EDN GLA its not right we pay well over the odds for a couple of hours up the M6/M74 what 20 mins flight time i'm told our airport landing fees are more expensive than down south due to heir salmonds tax laws though

genuinely cant remember last time we flew locally must of been 9/10 years ago £100 per flight saved here is £100 more to spend over there 4 of us £400 is few nights out

I Know but......

We are committed to flying out of Manchester for another holiday so decided to make life easier by booking local on this flight.


But it really does rankle that it is so expensive. It's not just the cost of the flight but paying to book online seating (did not bother for such a short flight then baggage then a meal) it all adds up.


But I will put this behind now and look forward to dreaming of PP and all those lovely meals and the sea views and Pollenca and ........
