ECONOMY CAR HIRE
Having used various Car Hire companies over the past 25 years on our visits to PP, does anyone have experience of renting through Economy Car Hire.
Is it really as good as it says on the tin with no insurance excess and further payments, apart from cost of petrol

Hi Geriatric DJ.

I have used ECH many times and havnt had any problems, however I have never had to claim!

Used them last year in Porto, Gibraltar and Palma no hiccups. In Palma and Gibraltar they used Auriga Crown and had a full to full fuel policy even though paperwork said full to empty. NB Auriga Crown take a fuel "deposit" ie you pay for a full tank BUT on return they refund you, make sure you go to the kiosk in the car park before catching flight to arrange this.

We have used them several time and get the car from Auriga Crown - they seem to be the cheapest when I was shopping around. No problems but we have never had to claim either!

I've used Economy a few times and the cars have always been with Centauro. Situated just off airport with a minibus transfer. Cars are good, but 2 downsides are full/empty fuel policy and longish waits to pick up/drop off at busy times - nearly missed the flight home once!

Donna and I have also used ECH a good few times and never had any issues.The cars we have had have all been newish and clean.Centauro(off airport) has been the usual pick up,but last time they found us a car with Avis which is on airport,which makes things a lot easier.Because of our good experiences with them they are our first choice.

Thanks to everyone for the help
Have now booked. Discount voucher worked and they now offer addional
tyre glass etc cover for £21.00 and no excess.
Car is supplied by Centauro but midweek in April should not be a problem
A Clio for 2 weeks inc insurance £257.00
