I totally agree, for years the tables in the street put us off El Poisito but Simon's post has changed my view entirely.

Some of my favourite PP memories have been spent sitting out on that street, loved the banter with the staff and the surrounding locals, and staff from the hotels on their way home after completing their shifts. The little old lady who took great delight in passing wind everytime she passed us

Thanks for the review and photos Simon. You are correct, pictures do tell more than words. Its been on our list to try after the reviews on this site, but waiting for the end of the season to do the port again.

The food looks good, although I'm not a big fan of fancy plates, but I have to disagree about the interior, it looks far too bright and canteen like for my taste. It seems the Mallorcans (on the whole) cannot do lighting or decor.

Popimages i have suggested that in the evenings it would make it feel much more intimate if they could dim the lights and have some candles or tea lights on the tables and even cushions on the chairs.
I am happy to sit outside for drinks and a ciggy but would not like to eat out there, but then i would never eat outside in the square either or anywhere where there was traffic from cars or people.
