Expensive or what?

Hi All,
Just been reading some of the posts here about the increase in costs for next year. Last month I booked an apartment in PP for next July. It's costing about 1600 Euros for 2 weeks. We've used the same Pine Walk apartment for the last 5 years, first with Open Holidays, then Villas Abroad (both went bust, as you know), but have booked direct with Marfran this time. Do you think 1600 Euros is a lot? That's about £1380, £690 a week.
If I remember correctly, that's not much more than we paid with Open Holidays/Villas Abroad.
Then of course, there'a our flights to pay for. How you lucky people can find bargain flights is beyond me. From Cardiff to Palma in August or July isn't cheap.
Anyway, as it's PP I think it's worth every penny.

Hi Pollpot - dont know the size of the apartment you rent but i dont think that is too expensive for the pinewalk...we have rented the same apartment for the last 5 yrs - 1st line La gola end of town (also in july) and we are paying more that...as for the flights- Easyjet from Bristol are the cheapest..we booked as soon as they came out and paid £125 rtn (incl of baggage taxes etc)...that is the early morning flight out although they do a late afternoon flight which would be cheaper.This year booked early flight out and evening flight back so can spend even longer in PP.
BMI baby from cardiff are more expensive and so are most of the other companies...I have checked them all

Hi CathB,
I was thinking of flying from Bristol. As you say, it is cheaper. Maybe next year, as I've already booked the flights from Cardiff.
Never mind, only 7 months to go!
