Some ideas:-
Alcudia Old town - very pictureque - also markets on Tuesday amd Sunday mornings which can be busy.
Palma cathedral
San Salvador - old monastry on mountain top now with a decent snack bar. Outstanding views of most of the island. - near Felanix
Portals/Porto Nous - see where the big yachts are based. Nice but expensive restaurants. On MA1 Palma to Andraix motorway.
Llenaire hotel - lovely boutique hotel with great views. Good for lunch or afternoon tea and cake.
Formentor - great views - Morning is best because of the sun/shade.
If you are into art, then the art gallery near Mal Pas (see the reviews under Alcudia).
Andraix - picturesque - but parking can be a problem.
Caves of Drach/ Porto Cristo - a bit touristy but still worth the visit.
Caves (Coves) of Campanet - understated caves but avoids the tourists and has a very relaxing bar/terrace.

These are just some of our favourites, but I am sure many others will add their favourites too.

Some great ideas there alcanadakid....we look forward to trying them ourselves.
My suggestion if you can cope with the rather hairy drive, is to drive to Soller thru the mountains (or the long way if not) and take the old wooden tram in Puerto de Soller or Port Soller. Its a lovely horse shoe bay with marina and some quite expensive restaurants. Alternatively, visit the port but eat in Soller which has a lovely square and cheaper restaurants. A stunning part of the Island which I first visited on holiday with my family in 1971. (bit different now)

Wherever you go, DONT drive to Port Valdemosa.
Scariest drive of my life. single track road with lots of hairpins and steep drops and very few passing places. When we were going down we met a minibus coming up and we had to reverse uphill a long way with a steep drop on one side. Formentor and Mirador Victoria are a doddle by comparison.
Having got down there, all there was was a pebble beach and lots of overweight naked Germans.

Definitely the Flamenco and hotel Llenaire has a lovely terrace with outstanding views. And this coffee is delicious!

Drive up to the monastery at Lluch. Arrive in time for the 11am singing. ( hope it still happens- it was a few years ago that we went).

Arta is an interesting town;
and nearby Capdepera Castle is also well worth a visit. On a clear day the view is magnificent.
The caves at Arta are very impressive;
Drive to Formentor beach and park; then take the bus out to the lighthouse. Great views and a decent little cafe at the lighthouse. But check if the buses are still running at this time of the year.

Ah, that's good to know, GG. We had a bit of an issue with the connecting bus to PP on the return journey; ended up spending over 45 minutes waiting with minimal shade - and no place to sit for us oldies! Mind you, the nice thing about going on the bus to the lighthouse is that you can just relax and enjoy the views.
