FERRY SERVICE

My wife and I are staying in PP 6th to 20th July and understand there is a ferry operating between Alcudia and Menorca. How long (in time) is the journey, how frequent the ferries? - is a day trip to Menorca and back a feasable option? If it is, can anyone give us an idea of cost and how long we would be able to spend on Menorca before catching a boat back.
Any info would be appreciated.

hmmm..I see what you mean about the cost !!!
I think I'll forget the idea and spend that money in the bars and restaurants of PP.
