I disagree ... it’s the exchange rate that is making it more expensive ( and that unfortunately will likely get worse !!) Say no more
You will pay about the same price in PP as you would at the plethora of ubiquitous chains in the UK, however you will get a much higher standard of food and value for money.

Go for a steak in Miller & Carter and you're over £30. A fillet steak in the nautical club is 23 euro.

The best change for me is the new pedestrianisation and wider pavements along the beach road, makes walking along the front so much easier to navigate when using the shops.And if it is a tad more expensive than some other Mallorcan resorts, well it's worth every extra euro to stay in the best place on the island! You will love those positive changes i think, hope you enjoy being back.

"What has changed?" well quite a lot in 11 years; but equally one could say not a lot - as change (more like evolution) is so slow one doesn't really notice it if one visits every year.
Instead of us giving you our own (perhaps biased) info in advance - it would be great if you reported back here, once you've been again, and told us what 'you' had noticed as the main positive (and maybe negative) changes.
But I can't resist on one difference -
Be prepared to be shocked at the price of sunshades and loungers on Pine Walk beach.
Hope you enjoy the return visit. I'm sure you will.

Debz, I totally agree with you.
However, all depends upon you budget and your wish for the standards you expect from the best resort in Mallorca.

Agree with Debz as well but also better service than in the majority of UK Restaurants

Indeed and no bus station either....so no noisy smelly buses interfering with the view. The whole front is cleaner and smarter from the roundabout to the Llenaire jetty (including integral planting), there are three pop up beach bars that could be a poor addition, but I think they are great and haven't heard any opposition to them either. They are such a great place to sit and enjoy a beer and good food & service. The rather downmarket huge inflatable is no longer around, which is good IMO. There are a LOT more cyclists around, which could be regarded by many as a down side, but they do bring a lot of money into the island, which helps so many during the quieter months.
No change to the views though, which as a stunning as ever!

Bar Cultural became Hostel Boras some years ago and Cultural moved across the square and is called Manolo's

So we are back! Stayed in the town of Pollenca & visited the Port on 3 occasions.
Was lovely returning, we used to stay at Circe Apartments behind the Pine Walk but was unable to take a look as it is now key code entry, had a drink at the Illa d'Or.
I see Bar Katy never reopened, Guzu closed.
Had dinner at El Posito which was the meal of the holiday.
As mentioned earlier in this thread the partial pedestrianisation towards Llenaire was a change for the better.
Overall I think the basic things that attracted us to the Port all those years ago is still there.
