I have tried to access the website for Ikea in Palma and all I seem to enter is the address and directions. Does anyone know if it is possible to actually see items in the store as is the case here in UK.?
I need to buy a dining table for our breakfast area and hoped to find a reasonably priced table prior to coming out.
Thanks.

Just looked at Ikea Mallorca for basic table for breakfast area and found Table and 4 chairs for 199 Euros

Out of interest looked at same table and chairs in UK Ikea and it was priced at £249

So not every item is more expensive and so worth checking up.

Thanks for the site details Rob and Donna - been bookmarked!

lol, It was a good exercise as I have bought from Ikea many times both for the villa and previously the apartment and hadn't noticed a great difference in prices to those of the UK. It came as a bit of a shock to read the post from SunProperties stating how expensive Ikea Mallorca is to the UK.
It is good to know that this isn't always the case and doing homework can be beneficial. As you say £50 saving by buying in Mallorca and no transport cost is a result!

I haven't actually decided on that particular table and may actually look in the Daily B to see if I can get a second hand one. If not - Ikea (Mallorca) here I come!!

Apologies - I suppose it must depend upon the item(s) you buy ~ it seems the leather suites (I presume Scandanavian) are more expensive in Palma.

Perhaps depends also on turnover of stock too.
The basic stuff is probably brought into Mallorca in much bigger bulk then say leather suites?
Basic stuff probably will sell quickly and store space perhaps is taken into account. I'm sure they must work out size of items in store against turnover. Display items must have a floor value. Perhaps leather suites are to order only? - Who knows - just well worth a quick check to compare prices I suppose.

Hope this site helps,it seems to be the current catologue for the Palma branch ikeando.com
Regards from Rob and Donna

Just checked out 'Ikeando' and can't see any reference to the Baleares, not sure if the prices quoted are only for the mainland.

If you want something a bit different, we had all of our beds and side tables and coffee tables made in wrought iron from Martin Colom in Pollensa, the prices where very competative and the quality and styles fantastic, he also made all of our curtain poles. He has a shop in the lanes in the old town of pollensa. Well worth checking him out:)

Hi Everybody !

See our advert Puerto Pollensa, Mallorca (Majorca) - Property Services - Our Website, Budget Move Page,

Great Value, great Service !

Take advantage of the strong Euro !

I just needed a couple of items sent out and asked for a quote which seemed very expensive - could have bought items three times over locally. I suppose if a large shipment then perhaps worthwhile. Also found it difficult to understand quote when requested for larger items. It seemed to be based on a measurement I didn't understand lol
Obviously my fault but I decided to give up at that point.

I bought everything in Pollensa old town including the linen and it worked out so cheap
I was amazed....6 single bed. sofa, dining, all table sets, endless and using the majorca style it came to 4k euros..bedding and crockery cutlery included...old shop in pollensa near the square

I have to say I am not a lover of IKEA (it’s that once you get in you can’t get out thing that makes me crazy) But when we re built our Finka we used IKEA for the Kitchen and Bedroom furniture.
They were Fantastic very helpful in the store and delivered everything and installed the kitchen. I would 100% recommend them and if you need to match any bits up etc they are just down the road in Palma. Less hassle than shipping over from UK me thinks
:) :)
