Hi guys - new to this forum and to PP - booked a week at villa in format in August - how far is it to walk into main strip and is it safe to do so at night - roughly what price a taxi for 2 adults and 3 kids - any advice is appreciated

Hi Bullroot - not sure where abouts in Gotmar you will be but it is about 20 min easy stroll to beach or into the centre of the port.

Taxi from the taxi rank in the port is 5.50 euros - or was in May.

Gotmar is a lovely quiet area to relax in.

Welcome to the forum Bullroot but Siller & Gotmar (or Gommar) are 2 different areas.

Have a look at our Maps of Pollensa - you can download & print off the map of Port de Pollenca.

If you look at the map you will see Siller is in the area (on the grid) by C7 & Gotmar id B-C 12-14.

Hello Bullroot, we stay in Siller every summer, different villas as we like something different and it is our favourite place. Near a supermarket and a nice walk into town, about 20 mins. If you are staying in that region, depends where your villa is, it can be pitch black on the walk home. The villas leave torches but we bring some extra ones. Mainly it stops the kids wanting to be the one to carry it but also my grandchildren love hiding and jumping out trying to scare the adults, it makes leaving the square easier as they can't wait for the walk home.
