Sorry Smiddy, was a bit uppity wasn't I? I only used O'Lume as an example as it's a regular feature on the forum. Restaurants are subjective anyway, not only that, the restaurants you like at any given time might be dictated by personal circumstances, ie whether you've got young kids in tow etc. For example, we currently like Nico's but we probably wouldn't have gone near before our nippers came along tbh.

Well, Wacker and Smiddy (and anyone else), I'm going to try both O'Lume and Bonys this year as I've never been there before. I'll let you know what I think when I get back at the end of this month.

Hadn't eaten here since it changed from "Rotunda", we met some friends for drinks and then went to Guru for dinner it was about 9.45 but had no problem getting a table. My first impression was that the staff were very welcoming and friendly, we had beers, wine, water and a coke. Starters were, cheese sticks with a dip ( think it was tomato), nachos with melted cheese and guacamole, onion rings and bbq sauce, pimientos padron, patatas bravas and of course bread, olives and alioli which we all shared. Mains were, pizzas x 2, pasta x 2 and Dorada x1.
All cooked beautifully, well presented and delicious. We were all far too full for desserts so we had 4 carajillos and a soft drink, followed by hierbas on the house.
I recommend this place the food is great and the service is very efficient, i will go back again.:)

I know this thread about Guru is slightly old, but it's always good to share the latest reviews!

We have just come back from Guru, and once again the food was fabulous very well laid out, cooked properly, staff VERY friendly.
For starters we had nachos with guacamole and chicken croquettes, and they very kindly gave us a plate of onion rings with BBQ sauce. And all were superb.

For mains: Sauteed Chicken Strips in Mandarin Sauce X2, Chicken breast in pear sauce and a beef fillet. All with homemade chips (the square ones!) and salad with their "special sauce".

Finally for dessert we had Brownie w/ ice-cream, spiced pears in chocolate sauce and a cheesecake.
And it was all 5 out of 5 stars nothing to complain about as it was all brilliant.
The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the owners are such nice people.

Guru is also a great restaurant for larger groups, as when I went for an end of school year meal, they looked after us exceptionally well and even offered us a special menu just for us as of course we had had to pay with our pocket money for the meal!

But in all the times I've been here which is quite a few now, it's always been excellent and that's why I thoroughly recommend it :)

It's nice to have an update. I've just had a look at their details and the opening times state June to September open all day, then the shoulder months showing they close for a siesta, but May is missed out completely.

I'd like to give it a try (it's the chocolate brownie that's calling my name!). But I'm the sort of person that likes to eat in the afternoon sometimes.
