Help with somewhere to stay please!

Hi all,
I am blasted by looking at review sites. I am trying to find accomodation for 2 adults 2 kids (13 and11) in August. The kids really want a pool, and I thought some evening entertainment would be nice, but not a must. However, The Flora which was recommended on Trip advisor, I have read can be so busy in August and you might not get around the pool! It is not cheap either. I am not sure of the areas in PP but somewhere central would be nice but not on a busy road. Well, I think that is most of my requirments!! (sorry).
Help needed PLEASE!

if u use this link :
Maps of Pollensa, Puerto Pollensa Majorca Mallorca then scroll down a wee bit u get a link to the map of the Hotels & Apartments in Puerto Pollenca ( and a couple of other places too ) Then at least u will be able to see where hotels are located.
Zoom in a bit and u will be able to see each hotel/appartment name. And if u take it that the Hotel Eolo which appears directly above the red tag reading MA-2200 as being pretty much the 'centre' of PP u can maybe start to get a feel for the place.

Hi, have you thought of renting a private apartment or villa? There are many advertised on this site and many have pools. You may find it is cheaper to 'do your own thing' rather than go through a company.
Most hotels offer entertainment in the evenings especially during the main summer season. You would be made most welcome for the cost of a coke!
Miriam's suggestion is very good and will give you a feel of the areas. I hope you find something suitable and I am sure others will have more to add to help you too.

Have a look at the rentals on here ..... you get to deal direct with the owner, if the apartment block has a pool you will be able to ask them about ration of apartments to pool and whether they tend to be all occupied in August, you will also be able to get a feel for the type of people who tend to visit ..... ie is it people with really young kids ( your teens would probably not appreciate a pool full of toddlers ) or more older kids / teens.

We stay in an apartment just round the corner from the Flora, it has a small pool but is adequate as the beach is so near. We also used the Flora on an evening for the entertainment and its very close to the Pine walk and Square. Feel free to send me a message for the address.

Thanks for this information. If I can use their facilities in the evening then more's the better. If possible, can you send me the info on the apartments you stay in.

Flora is well positioned, the beach is just down the road, there's also the Sports centre at the back which may be of interest to the young ones, tennis, football, swimming etc. The problem with the sun beds is just the normal you will get anywhere, selfish people getting up at the crack of dawn to "reserve" "their" space, wish they would cut it out, but they never will. Anyway, plenty of space on the lovely nearby beaches.
