We would like to visit the Hidropark when we visit in August and would like to take a taxi from PP. Does anyone know if there is a taxi rank outside the Hydropark so that we can get a taxi home again!! Also, is there much shade etc.
Any opinions / updates on the park would be much appreciated.

not sure about taxi rank but lots of taxis pulling up outside at park closing time. we used local bus only couple of mins walk to park. Last year we hired sunbeds and had them in covered area next to snack bar so we could pull them onto grass for sun and be shaded when heat too much or to eat packed lunch. Love this park as its not too big so kids can go on rides and don't feel like have to stand over them. think it was about 4 euro per bed last year or you can put towels under parasol but need to be early to get spot. Best to buy tickets from hotel on morning of going to avoid long ques.

Many thanks Sunny.
If you buy tickets in advance can you skip long queues at the entrance? Also, we are staying in an apartment so is there anywhere in Puerto Pollensa we can buy tickets before we go - perhaps even the day before?

We went to the hydropark last year and bought the tickets from the British shop near to the Flora apartments.

Hi Car - If you do take a taxi to the hydropark just ask them for a card and you can call them when you are ready to go back.

Many thanks everyone.:)
I'll get down to the British Shop to buy tickets as I hate queuing and like to be organised!! I was worried we might be stranded there but thats a good idea to ask for a card form the taxi driver.

Hi Car77

Just back from PP and we had a day at the Waterpark in Alcudia.

Loads of taxis hanging around outside so no matter what time you come out easy to get cab.

We were family of 4 and 62 Euros got us in to the park, 2 sunbeds hired and a safety deposit box/locker.

Good value for money for a fab days fun.

I would advice to take a packed lunch though, food at park is not great. Don't know where you are staying in PP but in the Pinaret area, opposite the beach, there is a small supermarket that makes fresh baguettes up for you while you wait. We called in here on the way and took 4 baguettes with us.

The water park in Alcudia is OK! But if you have a car or wish to take one of the buses, the parks in Magaluf or Arenal IMO are far, far superior. Alcudia is fine if you have young kids, but the older ones, say 10 to 70, the ones down south are the biz. You can drive down in about 45 mins, motorway all the way.

would wait until morning you are going to buy tickets just incase weather changes as they don't refund. We stayed in appartment in pinaret but just went in to Panorama Golden Beach for the tickets, would imagine most hotel receptions would sell you them.

Thanks everyone.
Brilliant advice as ever. This is such a good site.:)

Alcudia Hydropark

You can take a short walk to the big Burger King site, cross the road and you will catch one of the frequent buses from Can Picafort to PP.

Can you get a bus to the water park from PP?

avoid alcudia market days

we always just use the bus not far to walk to park from stop, bus driver shouts hydropark when at that stop normally. Try to avoid the days when market on in Alcudia as bus gets very full and hot!

Thank you Sunny thats a great help. Just checked the website its not the biggest but should keep an 8 year old entertained (and me). Looks as if it could get busy though with queues.

We go every year (my boys are 8 and 10) and they love it. Not too dear, wave pool and slides are fun and the queues are never too long and we tend to visit peak season. I pay on arrival but don't head there until 12ish, never queued to get in yet.

You can see their website by clicking here.

Its 17 euro for adults and 8 euro for kids.

Nice one Mark thats really useful info. My daughter is really looking forward to it.

park isn't huge but for us thats a plus, never have to wait for too long to go on slide. Just back from Florida rides great but wait time 1 hour to go on big slides. We have been in August with a 9 and 12 year old they love it enough to keep the entertained, hope warm enough in October to go back.
