Hi Penny

Do you mind me asking how much the buffet lunch was when you went for the day? If they let in non-residents in August we might give it a try as the pools etc look very nice. Can you use their beach as well for the 20 euros? Also, is there somewhere to change?

I think I have chucked out the credit card things, but I seem to remember something over 60 euros from the Formentor Platja Mar.... it would include wine and everything, so couldn't say.
We didn't use the beach, but there are sunlounger and shades and I would imagine they are run from the bar, apparently the hotel has sold off the beach, or for whatever reason it doesn't belong to them, it was pretty busy when we were there but not as hectic as the beach where the boats come in.
There is a car park at the Platja Mar which would get you onto the beach, if you want to go to the hotel and use the pool (I haven't looked at a website to see what else they have, however if they had a spa I am sure they would advertise it more widely) and ground you would have to go up to the hotel carpark and go to reception.
Lovely gardens, worth a look.
