How much money

Hi

2 Adults and 1 seventeen year old. Self catering in PP. Staying for 10 nights. Probably would eat out every other night, and small lunch every other lunchtime, drinks in evening, during day etc. how many euros do you think.

Ok so remembering your earlier thread you are not looking to spend too much

You should easily find 5 good places where you can have mdd with drinks for 20 euros a head so that's 300 euros for your 5 meals

5 lunches at 10 euros a head is 150 so 450 euros so far

1 supermarket shop plus fresh milk and bread daily say 100 euros so we are now at 550

Assume a couple of drinks each per evening at 4 euros per drink ( go to la Batucada .... you wont handle more than 2 of Rafas drinks ) will add another 120 so we are now at 670

Coffees and ice creams throughout the day will easily get to 20 euros a day so that's another 200 bringing us to 870

So I would say you can quite easily do all your food and drink for less than a thousand euros. Lots of options for mixing and matching here as well, drink less and have money over for a special meal at Stay, Los Zarzales, La Llonga etc.

Eat a large picnic lunch on Thursdays and go for the Ruta de Tapeo ..... Even if you each manage 6 which is going some that will only be 9 euros a head ..... Then just to balance the food/ drink ratio finish up at the Rustic Cafe and have one of their amazing value sharing platters for 15 euros.

CD thank you so much that was such a great reply and so helpful. Made me do a little bit of calculation going by your price guidelines and yes I think we can easily manager on 900 euros. Cant wait to get out there now..... Also quick question as you have been so helpful. The cooked chickens I have seen on the spits in restaurants etc which you can take away how much are they normally. They look like a good alternative to a bit of home eating with salad and nice bread and wine.. Thanks Julie x

Hi Julie, the Golden Lion chickens to take
away 8.95 last year I think. We sometimes
get with chips to take to apartment and
just make salad.
There are four of us two adults and two teenagers
last year we spent on average 120 euro a day
eating out most of the time. As CD says look out for
the MDs great value.

Thank you. I know the Golden Lion we are not staying too far away from there. We had lunch in there a couple of years ago. Do you pick up chips from there too or just do your own. Hope you don't mind me asking. Do your teenagers enjoy PP. I am taking our 17 year old out this year and normally he has his brother with him but he is 21 now and has his own holidays with the boys (Magaluf) a bit different than PP. Hoping he will meet up with some others his own age so he dosent get too bored with mum and dad although we are lucky he is easy going just wants to laze by pool and beach listen to his music and ipad and chill so he says. But its the evenings he might want a bit more entertainment. Any suggestions where your teenagers go.......

Yes just pick up the chips at the lion aswell nice to sit and have a quick drink while waiting Just a thought if your apartment is near there Pizza restaurant by the big Eroski Bella Roma do lovely pizzas be easy to walk to and pick up couple save cooking.
Have been coming to PP for past 10 years and the girls when asked always want to come back, one turned 16 last year and was more than happy lazing by pool with book and I pod (more so this year now exams are over). If we eat round by the Pollensa Park they are happy playing pool or air hockey in Lion, Sparrow or Panorama as normally other kids there age about.

Thank you very much for the advice. Your children sound like my son just happy to laze around and chill which suits us. Daniel likes pool etc so may find bars like that for him. Will certainly try Golden Lion and also the pizza place you spoke about as pizzas always go down well don't they. Thanks very much.

Strongly recommend a visit with him to Match Point bar which is oppsote the marina. Go upstais and there is a pool table and table football. Views out to sea to die for with a cold beer!!! My son loves it there.

That sounds ideal dan is sport mad so this would be ideal especially coz the ashes are on at mo and loves his cricket. X
