Can anyone tell me if there is internet access available to public in PP or around?

There is one inside the Daina Hotel reception, cant remember how much to use but very reasonable. Tucked away near the stairs so quite private too. Dont know if the hotel has re-opened yet for the season though.

There are one or two threads already about this, but you could try either Cafe Caramba between the square and the main road (Jaime XIII) or Cafe Pozo on the main road.

From recollection the cafe / bar between the Pollensa Park and the beach has a couple of computers.

Used them a couple of years ago to check on business - sad, I know when you are supposed to be relaxing on holiday!

Internet

The bar opposite the Pollensa park called Bon Dias has a couple of screens.

Internet

We have often used a place on Virgen Del Carmen which is not an internet cafe but has telephone cubicles at the front of the shop and computers in the room at the back. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of it but it is on the left side of Virgen Del Carmen going from the town centre in the direction of the Pollensa Park hotel. I found it useful for making short visits to send or receive emails because it charged for a minimum period of either 10 or 15 minutes, as opposed to an hour which seemed to be the minimum in many internet cafes.

Re Internet

Cafe El Pozo on the main road charges by 10 or 15 min periods and is very reasonable indeed.

You can enjoy a coffee or whatever while you surf, but dont take the liquid near your keyboard!!:eek

Re: Re Internet

I've used Cafe Carumba on most visits. I find the staff and owner such friendly helpful people. And you never know you just might bump into a famous personality or two 8) 8) whilst your in there ;) I know one I've spotted in there almost everytime I've been in there!

Take care.

internet

Hi there,
Just browsing th PP website on a quiet afternoon in the office and came across this post.
Just to add another internet access point - the cafe adjoining the Caparabo has two screens available. I think it was one euro for 15 minutes last time I used it to check if I'd won the lottery and didn't need to return to England!

Hi The Wob,

Thanks for that information. If you take your own laptop to Cafe Caramba how much is it per hour ?

When we were in the port last week we used JK's bar for wireless connection of my sons laptop. They are very frindly people in there and its free to use there connection, it is protected but they give you the code to use. I presume as long as you buy drinks while you are there you can use it as much as you like, which is what we did, they also do snacks as well. Duva aparments have an unprotected network in there reception if you are staying there, and also if you are staying in a built up area near hotels or villas there is usualy an unprotected network available, although I am not suggesting that you connect to it!!
