For a real breakfast treat, albeit an expensive one, you cannot beat a full buffet breakfast at the Ill a Dor on the sea front terrace. Fantastic, peaceful location right at the waters edge with friendly staff. Perfect. Wish I was there!

Mollys

Well I started Mollys cafe from a t-shirt shop and later sold it on. Although I did Bacon and eggs, I am half Lithuanian, so to me it was never meant to be such a british cafe, i was aiming at the European market with roast meats, salads, quiches, homemade vegetarian foods etc. My customers were multi cultural and many were Spanish waiters who stopped off for a quick bit before their shift. I ran it for 3 years and enjoyed the experience. good luck to the new owners.

Went for a long walk one morning last summer from near the Illa D'Or to the Llenaire Jetty, sat at end of jetty and ate a pack full of strawberries and melon I'd taken with me ....... wandered back , calling at Bar Cultural for a quick expresso ( obviously the only way its quick is if you go and stand up at the bar and drink it ) .................. carried on towards pine walk picking up a croisant on the way and ate it as I headed back towards Illa Dor .... got there just as outside bar opened ( 10am) and had my leisurely morning Cafe Con Leche ................. wandering back to my lazy lot as they were surfacing around 10.30 .................... absolutely wonderful breakfast and cracking start to the day

Not a massive fan of the full english myself but rest of family always manage 1 during our stay, always at the Joker and usually on a Wednesday when they have had enough of the Market

Must admit that for the last few years, after villa chucking out time, we've ended up breakfasting at Tolo's on the way to the airport, and pretty good value it is too, with proper squeezed orange juice and a good old english breakfast.

Will we be tempted by snails and ketchup this year?......Mmm

I didnt say you did Ray Unfortunately Fletchers position and the tighteness of the tables on the pavement means that I very rarely go to Fletchers for brekkie although on the few times we have it is very good. Has anybody had brekkie at "La Gola"???? next to Simbads?

Breakfast in PP

Try El Pozo opposite the small Eroski in the main street.The locals pop in for a quick breakfast on their way to work or to the shops and they do English breakfasts all types all cooked to order with a smile.

I've a confession to make. If we get up too late, our breakfast usually consists of melon and doughnuts sitting on the beach.

Best start to the day

We've been coming to puerto pollensa every year since 2003 and wouldn't go any where else we love the place. we allways start the day with a full english at Mollies, you can't beat it and the owners are really nice people. the meals in the evening are also very nice. Roll on July.

with the mornings still dark and cold in "sunny" Devon, breakfast luxury for me at the mo would be in daylight, warmer than 2 degrees and after 6.30am! Roll on holidays..........

Usually we arrive in Mallorca early after a cheap flight at stupid o'clock and go into Alcudia for breakfast at a place called Cheers. Mainly for convenience as you can park right outside with no problems so can keep an eye on suitcases etc. The breakfast is a good traditonal one but I wouldn't eat there in an evening now the kids are older It is funny how we stick to routine and have never gone into PP for breakfast but maybe we will try somewhere this year after reading this thread.

I don’t eat breakfast much so my usually consists of getting up before everyone else, strolling down from the villa to the town, passing all the businesses opening up on the main road, walk up to the newsagents between the church and La font del Gall, buying El Pais, and then reading it having a café solo in either Bar Juma or Bar Ocho. Then back via the Il Giardino bakery to buy croissants and bread for the day. Walk back home, swim in the pool and by this time everyone is stirring and we have breakfast on the terrace by the pool, heaven.
