Belladonna, You seem to be apologising for a perfectly acceptable review of a restaurant you once loved, Why? Isn't that what a restaurant review is for? Nobody has a right to criticise you for your opinion because it differs from theirs. In my view some of the posters have been taking umbrage far too easily on this board as of late. It's about opinions and everyone, like life in general is entitled to have one.

The day i withhold a post for the fear of upsetting other peoples fragile sensibilities, is the day i stop posting.

I could never understand the attraction of Ca'n Costa, and if it was sooo good why did it close? Latitude doesn’t look any better, not one veggie option on the menu, talk about limiting your options in a recession.

The reason that Ca'n Costa changed hands is that Will, the owner's son and the head chef, can only cook in one restaurant at a time and wanted to concentrate solely on his new venture Mr Green in Sa Pobla.

Why didn't they just employ another chef?, i never went there but it seems to me that it was a very popular place. I have read so many good reviews about it on here it seems such a pity they have sold it.

It's possible that Will has just leased the restaurant to the people running Latitude...I'm not sure if he's sold it. What I do know is he is such perfectionist he would not let someone run it under the Can Costa name and possibly ruin it's reputation.
