Has anybody used a local car hire place to hire a car for a day or couple of days just?. Who would you recommend?

Hi Rob,
In October we decided to go to Palma for the day and hired a car from Hiper, I cant remember how much we paid but I dont think it was expensive, the car was fine and the pick up and drop off service quick. They are on the corner of El Cano, just off the main round out of town.

Will have a look into their prices know where their place is. We are not too sure which days we plan to hire a car on. Going in October you can never be too sure which days will be sunny, that's why we really don't want to book in advance.
I need a sunny clear day because I plan to climb Puig Massanella, and the Bus up to Lluc will arrive too late in the morning to allow me to make the accent and decent in time to either catch the afternoon bus back to PP or to walk back down to Pollensa before darkness. So Caroline has kindly agreed to drive me up there early in the morning and meat me as usual in Pollensa in the late afternoon.We also plan to visit and revisit some of the villages in the mountain range (on another day

Rob, I hired one from the diving gear/car hire shop on the front opposite the boat yard. I stupidly forgot my passport, but my driver's licence (old style, no pic) and my T-shirt from the Real Madrid/Bayer Leverkusen UEFA Cup Final in Glasgow in 2002 persuaded him I was a trustworthy enough guy! Plus I offered Mrs Tosh as surety!!!!!!
