I've just returned from 2 brilliant weeks in Puerto Pollenca but I have a major gripe that I want to share and get others opinions on, and hopefully get someone to do something about it.
Basically, the family friendly tone of the place is being undermined by shops (particularly beach front Spar shops) selling inappropriate and pornagraphic items. Wooden penis shaped key rings, penis shaped lollipops with "I love sex" on the wrapper, and hard core pornagraphic playing cards, all of which either beside the checkout or on shelves at child height.
As a father of 3 children (8, 6 & 4 y.o) I find this particularly unpleasant and unnecessary.* Fine for tacky places like magaluf or santa ponsa, but I would have thought that PP residents and business owners would have more self respect, integrity and consideration for their customers/visitors.
If any of the forum users are equally appalled and have any influence in the area, maybe people-power can prevail.
I've visited PP 7 times now, love the family oriented feel of the place and aim to visit again, but not if it is going to become another tacky tourist resort.
Am i the only person who thinks this?
