I am having trouble finding a Map of PP.. Like a town map with an overview of streets / restaurants and beaches ect... Can anyone supply me one?

Hello - Thanks and is that all in walking distance? Basically I am looking for a Villa within walking distance to the shops / restaurants and beach. I am finding it hard though as many seem to be in the country side so you have to drive into town... Are there beached eiether side of the port?

As you say most of the villas are in the country side which could be a long walk anywhere, if they are near the main Pollenca - port road there are buses that run up and down all day that may help.

So would you say we will be hard pushed to find Villa accommodation near the town and within walking distance of shopes / restaurants ect? Is it all Hotels in PP?

There are villas available near the town, the best place to start looking is on the left again under villas/Apts to rent, on the advanced search you can specify villas near to the beach, the problem you may have is availability this late into the season most I fear may be booked up, but try there anyway. Perhaps other people have some ideas. Hope you find somewhere

If you search for Villas in Puerto Pollensa as opposed to those in Pollensa Countryside, you may find one. See http://www.puertopollensa.com/rentals/advancedSearch.php & select 'Villa' & location 'Puerto Pollensa' & then whether you want pool etc.

However the majority of detached villas with their own pools are not in walking distance of the beach.

Closest to the beach are hotels and apartments with shared pools.

You really need a car and have to drive a bit for a Villa holiday.

There are a few behind Port Pollensa only a short walk from town.
look for the blue pools, usually rental villas

only problem would be to find which website they are on to book.

If you want to be right in the town and minutes from the beach I think you will have more choice if you go for an apartment.

Hi Cosmicbabe,
we stayed in a villa in Gommar, which is in the south of the resort. There are some private villas there, and it was only a 15min walk, across the south beach, to the centre. Hope it helps.

Thanks for everyones reply! I am dettermind to find a Villa near/in PP as I have read alot about it now and would be dissapointed not to go.. Even if it means waiting till September!! (I hope the weather is still good then)

We have always managed to find villas with a pool within walking distance of PP.(15 - 20 minutes leisurely stroll. You can always get a taxi back although we find that the coolness later in the evening plus the assistance of a few drinks, means the walk back is very easy!!) Sealand Villas have a number of villas in Siller as do Villa Select & Villa Plus. There are other companies & private lets it's just a case of trawling the internet until you find what you want. Our experience is that these villas tend to book up fast. We always go in September but book almost a year in advance. I hope you manage to get fixed up as you will love it. Good luck!
