What an absolutely fabulous report! - thank you so much for taking so much time to do that for us! Some great recommendations here - especially La Celtika - which sounds amazing. Will definitely be giving that a try later this year!

All those photos have made me famished so am off now for a late lunch....

Couple of questions

Is Celtika the place that does crepes ? If it is I think I must have passed this many a time and decided it was not what we were looking for for an evening meal. Has it changed hands ?

What is lobster caladetra ? I have eaten lobster many timed but usually here in Scotland so is it the same type of lobster or the spiny ones ? I sit like a soup?

Thanks

Scotslizzy

Yes, Celtika often have crepes on the menu - it's what used to be Mollies (roughly opposite the entrance to the courtyard at O'Lume :()

Caldereta is more of a stew than a soup - Lyn posted about it earlier in the year here too : http://www.forum.puertopollensa.com/bars-restaurants-pollensa-majorca/12001-el-posito-2015-a-2.html

Great report as always Doog, took some pictures and notes myself, but not up to your high standard, something for everyone this year to aim for. Sounds like you had a wonderful time

Certainly did mate - and sorry we didn't see you while we were across.
Will look forward to your report :)

Fab report and pics, last year I stayed above Can Tofol with son and his girlfriend for a few days, it was always really busy with locals, shame on me now for not eating there.

What a wonderful trip report, much useful information as I shall bring me down when I travel about less than 2 weeks. Both La Celtika and Can Tofol are new to me and must be tried.:) Next time you're at the tapas route you must end at Jose Benito ES Refugi, just below La Vall, where there is always a great atmosphere and very good tapas. Wine in real wine glasses:) Thanks again Doogz

We looked at Es Refugi on the way to La Vall but it was just a bit too busy when we went past - we did stop in for a beer on another day and will hopefully try it again later in the year.

Really enjoyed reading your report Doogz and loved the pictures - they look very professional:)

Great report Doogz. Must try the lobster caldereta in El Posito.

It is fabulous Marilyn, we have had the Langosta (spiny lobster, similar to crayfish) and the Bogavante (red lobster with claws) both are excellent but you do have to pre-order, i would say Toni needs at least a days notice ;).

What a top class review Doogz.
The Duck and Monkfish @ Celtika looks gorgeous.

Thanks for taking the time for doing this brilliant review with photographs.Excellent!!!!!
