Arrived home after a wonderful 2 weeks holiday and thought you might like to share our dining experiences (hubby and me plus 22 yr old son and 11 yr old daughter)

Day 1
Lunch at Illa Dor - Beautiful setting we sat on the terrace at the waters edge.
Orders were for Sea bass, spanish omlette and childs hake & chips. All meals were satisfactory but were a bit overpriced.
Evening spent settling into villa with meats, cheese and wine.

Day 2
Can Ferrar One of our favourites. We had mixed tapas starter to share followed by grilled sole, battered prawns, mussels and childs hamburger. Washed down with a bottle of Macia Batle, it was a lovely meal.
This place never disappoints us, food and service is alway good and it is very reasonably priced. (around 60 Euros in total)

Day 3
Piccolo Forno- This was a new one for us which we decided to try after reading a reccomendation on the forum.(Thanks Bonyslad)
We shared a delicious starter which was their special and for 10 euros we got a giant platter of mixed meats, cheese's and other antipasti.
Hubby and son had pizza's to follow, daughter Spag Bol & crab filled ravioli for myself. Again everyone enjoyed their food. My daughter had a huge 3 flavoured ice-cream and with a bottle of house wine and a couple of cokes the bill was only 66 euros.
Will definately be back here.

Day 4
Can Andreu- Returned here after an enjoyable visit in May.We again decided to go for MDD, Starters of green peppers for 2 of us & fritos mallorcan for hubby, with mains of lamb for hubby & son and Sea bass for me. Daughter had mussels with chips.
Starters were ok but nothing special, Lamb was declared good but...when my Sea bass came it was stone cold! When I told the waitress it was taken back and the same fish returned 5 mins later piping hot! (This now makes me wonder are some meals pre prepared and microwaved) No apologies were given and I couldn't really enjoy it after tasting it cold.
The creme caramel's which we ordered for dessert weren't to good either they seemed to be slightly over cooked.
Unfortunately this has now put us off a return visit.

I enjoyed reading this and as I said on another post I am glad C`an Ferrer is up to the usual standard. I like the sound of Piccolo Forno and must look though old posts to see where it is , it sounds very inviting, i can`t say I have ever noticed it before.Looking forward to next post. TT

Great reviews Charlotte, a shame about C'an Andreu.
TT , Piccolo Forno is in Pollensa town.

Where's C'an Ferrer, please?

I've looked through old threads and can't see a location mentioned.

John

Ca'n Ferra is on the pedestrianised street between the Tabac on the front and the Bakery.
Hope this helps,

PeRu

Thanks, PeRu. Tabacs are normally pretty obvious so I should be OK to find it from there.

Thanks for the excellent review. I am going out on the 19th and Piccolo Forno is also on my eating list. Bonyslad has started something here!

Thank you Sparky. I must have the old holiday head on when i am in Mallorca as I can honestly say I have never noticed Piccolo Forno. I have looked at directions given in an earlier post by Mark and now have my bearings ,so will give it a try in March/April
Regards TT.
