Hi - we've been visiting PP on and off for 20 years but mainly on package holidays. This year we are looking to stay in the vicinity of Pine Walk and have been looking at the Mestral2a apartment on the pedestrianised area just prior to Pine Walk. Does anyone have any knowledge of this property? Any info much appreciated!!

Hi chez welcome to the forum!

We stayed in the Mestral apartment block about 8 years ago but can't remember the number..it was on the 2nd floor
though and was overlooking the promenade so could well have been 2A! The block is above Mestral restaurant and is in a fantastic location in the centre of town and about 10 steps from the beach.Its in a great position to people watch from the balcony and although there's always lots of hustle and bustle its never too noisy. The apartment we were in had 4 bedrooms, a large loung/dining room , was very spacious and was traditionally decorated but of course this could have been modernised by now.If you do go make sure you 'bag' the bedroom at the front..nothing beats the view of the bay when you fling your shutters open in the morning

Thanks for the info Debs - it sounds just what we are looking for. I am trying to cater for age groups ranging from 3 to 70 years and its difficult to please everyone! I've checked availability on the Mestral and the dates we want are OK so hopefully it should all come together next week. Reading through the forum has whetted my appetite even more for a return to PP - can't wait. Thanks again.
