I have just read that the new motorway at Inca opened
yesterday.

Has it?

When we went there in september it looked like it was no where near ready to be opened. Has someone put a rocket up there bottoms and told them to get a move on with it.
Not that I agree with the new motorway anyway, it looks
awful as you are driving passed the road works.

I also read that Annie Lennox is against all of the new roadworks and is trying to do something about it but I don't
think it will make any difference, Do you?

I think it is only the bit at the Inca end. The rest is due to be finished next April.

Inca Section

Yes I went on the Inca section this morning. Cuts out all the roundabouts in Inca and much safer than driving through the town centre. Feel sorry for the various leather shops etc. in Inca that will no longer get the passing trade. Also worth remembering that there is now only one petrol station on the main road between Pollensa and the airport / Palma and this is on the wrong side of the road.

Re Motorway

No it's not open yet, but it doesn't look like there is much more to do. Just miles of brand new motorway, with no cars. I wouldn't be suprised if it was open in the next few weeks
