Hi Pollensa,
I was on the forum yesterday afternoon and tried to post to a few threads (you know me ) and kept getting error messages then my Anti-virus program kicked in. At the time I was only on this forum. It may be worth everybody's time to just run their anti-virus programs just in-case.

I read the ezboard message last night when I got in from work 11:30 ish until mind-night ish I looked at all the recent posts and some old ones, then logged on again just now, between these times we seem to have lost a lot of messages that were there last night.

We know this is outside your control. And we all know you are doing a fantastic job. Look on the bright side most of the drivel I posted has gone!:rollin .

Hang on maybe this is just a hoax and maybe someone :evil just wanted to make it look this way. When underneath it all it was just a way to delete my posts :eek :eek :eek . Maybe just maybe it's Mr Chuckles:evil , is he out to reek his evil revenge on me?:rollin .

Take care and if we have lost most of our forums, so what, we can always just start them up all over again. Can't we folks.

Mean while back at my control center a "mole" from ezboard has contacted me and informed me that ezboard was attacked and the ransom note read as follows........
" Ezboard, this is Mr chuckles, yesterday I attacked the Puerto Pollensa forum. Not because of RobJay's comments about my evil empire and desires for PP wide domination (although his theory is correct hahahahahaha:evil ). But in fact my attack was fuel by something far worse than that!>: . The reason for my attack...........................JANE'S JOKES!!!!. If she repeats these jokes I shall return!!! hahahahahaha:evil .

Now be it far from me to try and say my source (Codename: deep throat) knows what he is talking about. But Jane humor is a dangerous weapon when it comes to PP wide domination. He must have felt threatened by you and your ability to make people laugh ( ok ok smile).

Hello Rob

Thanks for making me laugh - I only hope it wasn't my jokes that were the final straw.

However, I'm really sad and angry as well - because of the hackers a lot of posts that are here to help people have disappeared. Posts that members have taken the time to write to help people travelling to PP have a great time.

And that's just our forum - I dread to think how many have been affected.

I just hope that the messages are restored. If not, I've got an awful lot of posting to do to restore the now empty Wine section!!

I did think the message from the EZBoard team was good, though, and I'm sure they're doing their best to put things right again.

Hi Jane, I can understand how you feel because I feel the same way. A lot of members have lost their posts. You have put so much effort into your wine Forum.
But we will pull together and rebuild. It may mean re-writing our posts, but I'm sure it will be worth it in the end. I have learned so much from this forum and enjoyed joining in. There is a real sense of community here lets build on that.
I am known for saying " a bad experience is only an experience that we haven't learned or gained from", We have a chance to gain and learn from this and so change this from a bad experience into an experience.
I for one will copy and paste my (important) posts into a word doc and save to disk, that way if this should happen again I can re-post from disk. Don't panic folks I know 99.99% of what I post is 100% drivel :rollin and wont be saving that :lol .
By the way I'm not too sure about "Deep Throat" for some reason his line seems to be busy just now, so can't confirm if it was your jokes or my comments were responsible for this attack. So lets do the adult thing and claim "it wasn't me':rollin

I'll try and get hubby to tell me some more jokes and then I'll post them on the Tapas Board when it's up and running again and use it as an act of defiance!! We will not be beaten!!

You mentioned saving your posts which I thought was a great idea. I do sometimes print off the messages and I only wish I had printed more off. I did print the "Own Up" thread on the wine forum started by Portofan (who seems to have disappeared again) because it was so funny and it will be nice to look back on if it is lost forever

When I read the lastest update from EZboard this morning they mentioned that the "hacker" must have had a "chuckle" when they pushed the send button to wreak havoc on the forums. Was this a code? Is Mr Chuckles really behind this outrage?

Perhaps it was because of my posts on Mir and the wines he stocks?

We'll never know!

OK here is the latest newsflash from Deep Throat.

Last night whilst I(Rob jay) was out with a meal. Mr Chuckles came into the conversation. Caroline confessed to me that last October she was in Mr Chuckles shop, and he smile at her:evil ! :eek :eek :eek .
So yes Jane the hackers did have a chuckle!!!! Mr Chuckles, He's out to get me and steal my girlfriend:evil :eek :eek :eek .
So watch out guys Mr Chuckles goes under the code name "Chuckles El pirata informatico:evil " and is after your women!:eek :eek :eek . Don't be fooled by that poker face, Underneath there is a smile waiting to be released.......Deep throat told me so!!!.
