Hi JB, would be interested to know the exact building you are in! we have an appartment opposite the old peoples home too and it was the first time last month that we went back since the road opened. Obviously it goes without saying about the goats, they have been gone a LONG time now, although I do have a photo of them climbing the tree last year. It is a huge difference to have any traffic at all after it being nothing but fields, and we would be a lot happier if they planted more bushes too.
There are a lot more places that are noisier though, and I really think you have to make up your own mind by returning and seeing how it affects you personally. The first day we were back I was determined to sell up, but after a week there I had calmed down a bit! It also depends whether you sleep in the back of the appartment or the front, as if in the front, I am assured by friends who stayed there, that there is no noise at all. Cant help more than that I dont think, you do need to give it a try yourself if you like Llenaire as an area - which we do!

We stay in an apartment within the Vista Monte block on the righthand side of the road as you look from the sea towards the new road. We were there last year and it was quite noisy with all the building work going on, but are hoping to return again but don't wish to find the new road is a real problem (those noisy little mopeds can keep you awake!)

We are about 5 seconds away from you then! Being on the corner probably made it worse for you. Im wondering how long it will be until they carry on the road in front of us and develop that field. Its ripe for building on and there is already the drop front from the road to start the access. We have been spoilt for a few years but is there really anywhere else that is a lot more quieter now and still with quite an open feeling? Not sure. You have the opportunity to try somewhere else, but as owners we are committed (probably to the old peoples home soon!!!) to staying there for a couple of years at least the way the market is. We wont give up yet though!
