Hi there, I have a choice of rooms in la goleta or bellavista. Bellavista looks lovely but La Goleta is right on the front with sea views. Dont know which to choose. Can anyone help? It's hard to work out exactly where they are located. Thanks very much.

I would definitely choose La Goleta. Both are very central but Bellavista is a bit youth hostel for me.

thanks very much.. that helps.

Goleta for me ..... front rooms are all at the same rate ~ try and get one on the first floor (above the restaurant) as the balconies are the largest there - may not get a response to any email at the moment as I understand Martin (the owner) is on the mainland.

Totally agree La Goleta. All the staff are really nice and helpful too.

Plus the views are excellent. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Once you've booked with la goleta, go and take a look at bellavista(means beautiful view)(someone must have a sense of humour) it looks and is nothing like their PR stuff:cool:

Definitely La Goletta

Depends on your preferences

I agree with many of the posts here in that if you can get a sea view in La Goletta then its great to wake up to but .....it is right on the road so can be very noisy! Not so bad now that the new road around the back is open. We had some friend visit us and they stayed at Bellavista (out of season mind) and the staff were increadibly friendly and helpful. There is a really nice shaded/sunny garden area for residents. There is also a huge roof balcony facing the mountains. It is about 100 metres from the sea and marina and a similar distance from the square and restaurants.

I would agree though, that it is run by a young staff and has a 'youthful' atmosphere. But that might be a plus for you.

Would definitley agree La Goleta, Martin and his wife are lovely people and the place is spotlessly clean, they reopened this week (not on the mainland) so you should have no problem contacting them.

Hi hoxtonwoman!

That was a mouthfull!

And welcome!

One day a couple of years ago we had a lookie inside Bellavista and shown round by a lovely girl, presumably a grandchild of the granny mentioned on the website.

Nice and clean, quiter than La Goleta, though no way would I knock it.

Depends what you're looking for and how long.

have a look here

Pensin Bellavista |||| Hostal Port de Pollena |||| Hostal Puerto de Pollensa |||| Mallorca |||| Balears |||| Baleares |||| Espaa |||| Spain ||||

Good luck!:D

I stay at Goleta on a regular basis. Parking can be a bit of a problem but other than this it is a great place. If you have one of the front rooms the view of the bay is fantastic - particularly as the sun rises and before the traffic gets moving. Restaurant is recommended as well - I make this point as it is a good eating place even if you are not a resident.

Certainly looks like they are a fun loving lot at Bellavista

GG :)

Just had a look at the Gallery (the previous post sparked my curiosity and well ...... )

A strange set of photos to include in an advert for a small pension, not sure they would entice people to book.

They look happy though ;)

Cd, Bellavista is owned by the dentist who owns 'our ' villa on Pine Walk. His son Alfonso (also a dentist) is in a lot of the pictures and is a good friend of my girls. He's the sexy one with long blonde hair. He recently went to Africa to do charity work by providing dental treatment.I think it's on youtube ..I'll try to find it later and post( or will that be off thread?). I think he probably put together the photos as a lot of young people stay at the pension and I would imagine they would encourage people of a certain age ;)

One of my daughters friends stayed at BELLAVISTA a couple of years ago and it was really rather nice and spotlessly clean. It has a beautiful staircase and is typically Mallorcan in decor.

Hostal Bellavista is a wonderful place to stay.....definitely spotlessly clean, great arty decor (just take a close look at the light fittings - they are wonderful!!) and in a great location. A true oasis in the heart of Puerto Pollensa.
I have lovely memories of staying in one of the delightful rooms with access to the roof terrace. With the comfy patio furniture, it is a lovely sun trap and a great place to relax and while away the time.
The room prices are reasonable, Coloma who runs the place is very friendly and helpful and it is open all year. :):):)

I must be getting old because those photos would definitely put me off booking.... Though I would be more than happy to let Alfonso look at my teeth. The breakfasts look lovely though!

Lol, just had a look at the photos, looks fine to me ;), I think this was pre FB days and they mainly used the gallery to 'update their status'!!
