Next Best to Pollensa?

Reading the posts on this forum it's quite obvious that PP attracts a certain type of person. We're not all the same, of course, all different age groups, all different backgrounds and social classes, but we all seem to like the same things - good food, lovely resort, friendly locals and fellow holiday-makers.
I was just wondering - if you couldn't get to PP for some reason for your holiday, (or, if you live there and were thrown off the island for some reason!) where else would you suggest that can offer the same values? In other words, what is the 2nd best place after Pollensa? Is there such a place?
